PLATEminus V2 or simply "PLATE 2" is a result of direct feedback from both our extensive beta testing and customers of the PLATEminus.  Not only is PLATE 2 the second in the PLATEminus line but is the solution for the two most requested features – side plate pockets and a cummerbund.

PLATE 2 is the built with the same fully MOLLE compatible MOLLEminus platform as the original PLATEminus.  This provides fully modular load carriage capability but significantly reduces weight and bulk over traditional armor carriers.  PLATE 2 is built around the SAPI / ESAPI armored plates, and like PLATE 1, have fully enclosed plate pockets which protect the plates and provide maximum signature management by eliminating black plates or the need for additional “socks”.

The Side plates are also fully enclosed with a unique and effective double fold.  The front of the side plate pockets are also MOLLE compatible to mount magazine pouches, trauma kits, or utility pouches.

The cummerbund is fully adjustable and features military grade Ten-Speed elastic.  The multi-use cummerbunds can double as a magazine pouches or hold similar sized items such as trauma dressings.  The overall length is adjustable by the back panel and also the side plate pockets.  PLATE 2 ships with a standard 2 cell cummerbund which will work for most sizes (chest size 38” – 45”) but is compatible with the LMAC Side Closures for smaller or larger sizes.
